I’m not sure this is a real solution for your problem, but you can try to make a shortcut to the programm. To do that copy the programm to the desktop and than right click on the programm and open the properties. In that window make the “shortcut target:” field point to this:

“C:\Program Files\MediaPlayer\MediaPlayer.exe” /q

click ok, press the “Save shortcut” button and close the properties window. After the programm starts try to close that shortcut.
